Hello, it’s nice to meet you.

Kailey New is a Fort Payne, AL native who currently resides in Birmingham, AL. She is a recent 2022 University of Alabama graduate, with a BAC degree in creative media and a minor in creative writing. She has worked on multiple short film sets in the following roles: Assistant Director, Assistant Camera, Director of Photography, and Director. She has even had the opportunity to work on two tv pilots and worked as a Health & Safety PA for the feature film Wire Room starring Bruce Willis. While in college, Kailey was involved in leadership roles within the Black Warrior Film Festival and worked as a student producer for the Center for Public Television. She is currently employed at Red Clay Media as comedy video producer for It’s a Southern Thing. Her passion for filmmaking continues to grow with each set she steps on.

Kailey New was the recipient of a 2020 SouthEast Emmy award for the short documentary Visual Vernacular.  She is proud to have been apart of the winning team, composed of producers from the Center for Public Television.
